Hot meals for all learners
Today, St. Francis Progressive Learners Centre serves:
☞286 children enrolled in school.
☞46 vulnerable children receiving educational support.
☞Dozens of families benefiting from empowerment and parenting initiatives.
☞A growing community committed to child protection and educational access..
Despite these achievements, increasing demand for educational services and limited resources continue to challenge our ability to provide adequate learning facilities and essential services.
To continue transforming lives and effectively implement the Competency-Based Education (CBE) curriculum, the Centre urgently seeks support in the following areas:
☞Textbooks for Early Childhood Development and Primary School.
☞Storybooks and literacy materials.
☞Teaching and learning aids.
☞Curriculum support materials.
☞Teachers capacity building.
To enhance digital literacy and support effective implementation of the Competency-Based
Education curriculum, the Centre requires:
•Computers and laptops.
•Tablets for learners.
•Projectors and interactive learning equipment.
•Printers and photocopying machines.
•Internet connectivity and networking equipment.
•Educational software and digital learning content.
•ICT training resources for teachers.
•Desks and chairs.
•Construction of permanent classrooms.
•Purchase of land for a permanent school facility.
•Daily nutritious meals for vulnerable learners.
•Kitchen supplies and food storage facilities.

•Secondary school sponsorship for deserving girls.
•Teacher allowances and professional development.
•Instructional materials and educational resources.
St. Francis Progressive Learners Centre serves over 250 learners, women, and youth in Kayole and Soweto Informal Settlement, Nairobi. We urgently need support to improve access to safe water and sanitation through the construction of three additional toilets, installation of a water storage tank, small water filtration system and improvement of handwashing facilities and hygiene education.
These improvements will create a healthier and safer learning environment for vulnerable children and the wider community. We welcome partnerships and support from organizations committed to improving Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) in underserved communities.
